Interview questions

How did you get your start in writing?

I started writing because I couldn't find the stories I wanted to read in the book stores. I figured the best way to read these was to write them myself. People I showed them to liked them and encouraged me to submit them to a publisher. I did and they liked my work enough to publish my books.

who are your biggest influences

I read a lot, every genre, fiction and non fiction. My main influences are Robert Littell, Jeff Lyndsay, James H Schmidt, the classic authors like Frank Herbert, Fritz Leiber, Heinlein, as well as McCaffrey, Cherryh, and Georgette Heyer.

What is your biggest inspiration when creating?

I listen to music, usually instrumental, soundtracks, or ethnic stuff. I listen to movies or old C2C shows too.

Could you give us the details of your current project?

The current projects are a film adaptation of Puca and a Steampunk western fantasy. There's a sequel to Pale Fire in the works as well so lots of fantasy science fiction stuff on the way.

What is the next goal you would like to achieve with your writing?

A New York Times best seller would be nice.

When the zombies take over the world where will you be?

Waiting in the wings with a flame-thrower.

Jedi, Ninja, vampire, were-wolf, pirate, fairy or Spartan?

Pirate definitely.

What one piece of art, be it music, book, film or picture, do you think people must experience before they die?

Hmm good question. At this point in time I'd have to say the movie 9.

Give one fact that most people would not believe about you?

I'm really pretty shy.
